PRECAUTION ======= I wanted to use this for ethernet jacks. I have a standard ethernet cable that I ran through a wall. I wanted to connect that ethernet cable to a female ethernet coupler and then connect that coupler to this wall plate. In theory, everything works and fits. In reality, you probably want a side-mounted box instead like this one: Cables to Go 3849 Keystone Surface Mount Box (White). This is because an ethernet cable can easily bend sideways but to bend forward (i.e. towards you) like this wall plate requires would need a pretty deep wall mounted box.
I could not find a 90 degree keystone Cat6 coupler. If you are crimping your own ethernet cables then you may not have any trouble using this wallplate.
